These virtual awards are given to active members of the MGL. The order of the awards is as follows and complete descriptions are found below.

Nominated awards are those that are voted on quarterly by the players. Moderators are not eligible for player nominated awards, though other staff may still participate as normal.

For the player who demonstrates an ability to work well in groups

For notable assaults and aggressive actions

For those players who have demonstrated leadership ability and an understanding of how to achieve victory

Critera awards are those that are given by the Moderators whenever certain, specific criteria are met.

MGL CRITERIA AWARDS
The MGL Longevity Award Longevity Award
Awarded after the 12th game - the "one year award"; awarded again for subsequent "years"
The MGL Service Award Service Award
Awarded at the completion of a significant contribution to the MGL (write and moderate a campaign, provide an alternate play location, etc.)
The MGL Staff Service Award Staff Service Award
Awarded after four months of satisfactory service in a staff position (Moderator, Operations Manager, Quartermaster)

Campaign ribbons are a form of criteria award given to all participants of a certain event. They are positioned before the Longevity Award with the most recent campaign ribbon taking seniority, though expeditionary ribbons are priority.

For participation in our annual Halloween events (since 2005) which take the place of our October games

For participation in any of the first three original Halloween events in 2002, 2003, or 2004

For participation in our first ever Christmas campaign.

The highest award is the MGL Superior Service Award, or "The Duke". As a sort of hybrid between the nominated and criteria awards, The Duke is nominated by the players, but approved by the Moderators and Staff. If the players do not nominate The Duke, it may not be given. If the Moderators do not approve The Duke, the recipient is usually given the Service Award (above) instead.
